Rosewill 4.0 Liter Water Boiler and Warmer Dispenser
I injured my right knuckle causing me to have difficulty in lifting and pouring hot water from my Cuisinart Electric Kettle. While at my daughter-in-law’s home, I spied her new Japanese hot pot and thought it was a great idea till I saw the price tag on Amazon! YIKES! Now, you know I’ll spend when needed and wanted, but it was lined in TEFLON! For me that’s like using a microwave, I just don’t use one! No Teflon in my life and certainly not in a pot that is HOT for 24 hours a day. The Rosewill Hot Pot's interior is all shinny stainless steel and the dispenser spout is silicone and not plastic. But the BEST is the PRICE, the Rosewill is less than $39 vs the brand name $160 version.
Now I have instant HOT WATER whenever I need it! Water for rice noodles to soak in, dates to soften in, any kind of tea brewed when a friend shows up, hot water for tempering chocolate on demand and never too hot, etc. You will find all kinds of advantages for having HOT WATER whenever needed!
The Rosewill R-HAP-01 Electric Hot Water Dispenser holds up to 4.0 liters of water and offers three temperature settings. For safety and thermal efficiency purpose, it contains a micro-computerized temperature-control system, bottom heater. A user-friendly design includes a reboil function, auto clean function, night light indicator and a 360-degree rotatable base for easy access from any direction. Attractively housed in stainless steel outer shell with stainless steel inner pot, the Rosewill R-HAP-01 Electric Hot Water Dispenser provides a sophisticated look and design.
Built In Safety
Select your water temperature - 140, 175 or 208 degrees F. There is an auto clean button - but I don't think I'll ever have to use this feature because I use filtered alkaline water. The Rosewill has 2 safety features that I definitely appreciate - an auto lock on the dispense button so no one can accidentally push a button and get burned, and an auto shut off when the water level gets too low. if you don't use it for 48 hours it actually turns itself off which saves on power and prevents burning all the water dry and burning itself out.
The Rosewill Instant Hot Pot on my countertop between the Gaggia Brea Espresso Maker and the Capresso Infinity Conical Burr Grinder
The Rosewill Instant Hot Pot is not a small appliance and takes up a bit of countertop real estate. The unit measures 14.5" tall x 12" deep x 10.5” wide. These measurments include the electrical cord that sticks out a bit on the right side when connected. For my kitchen, the Roswill fits perfectly under my kitchen cabinets.
The exterior is silver colored metal, the top is white plastic, and the interior is stainless steel—not a stitch of Teflon or plastic inside. A glass window on the front should show the water level, but I personally find it hard to see. So I simply pop the top open and look inside when I think it is getting low on filtered water. All controls on top front area are sealed buttons that make wiping clean a breeze. And the swivel feature on the bottom is convenient for turning the pot in any direction as needed.
How to Clean the Rosewill
The stainless steel inner liner makes the Rosewill R-HAP-01 Electric Hot Water Dispenser a breeze to clean. If you live in a hard water area, use 2 cups of white distilled vinegar with filtered water to the fill line and hit “reboil.” Once the boil is over, simply drain, scrub the surfaces with a wet clean sponge, rinse and wipe dry. Since I use filtered alkaline water and I live in Portland, OR, I am not noticing any mineral deposits or sediment.

Cuisinart PerfecTemp™ Cordless Electric Water Kettle
Variable Temperature Control and Large Capacity The Cuisinart PerfecTemp™ Electric Kettle is a delight to the eye and very functional in an all stainless steel kitchen! It has 6 preset temperatures for different varieties of tea that I like to brew throughout the day. And the 1500-watts of power provides fast heat-ups, and a Keep Warm Option maintains the chosen set temperature for 30 minutes in case I get side-tracked doing something else. The kettle can even be removed from the power base for up to 2 minutes without shutting off.
The swivel base makes it easy to pick up and replace the kettle easily. And I prefer a stainless steel interior over the plastic found in the Bodum. The full spectrum of heating temperatures also makes it fast and easy to create the perfect cup of tea or soaking ingredients called for in recipes.

Depending the water you have and its mineral content, the inside of the kettle may start looking peculiar... speckled or rough. This is not anything bad, but it may scale off into your beverages and look unsightly. I live in Portland, OR and the water is pristine and a pH level of 7, so I never have any scale buildup. But if you do, use 1 cup white distilled vinegar and fill the kettle with water and give it a full boil. Empty and rinse several times and the interior stainless steel will be completely smooth, clean, and brand-new again.
Bodum Water Kettle The Travel Kitchen Water Kettle The Bodum Ibis Water Kettle not only heats quickly by way of a stainless steel heating coil inside the kettle. It sits on a base and is cordless when removed from the base. The oval black or white version holds 1.7 liters (50 ounces) of water. The heating element produces 1500 watts of energy to heat the contents FAST... 2 to 4 minutes!
Features of the Bodum Ibis Water Kettle:
powerful 1500-watt oversized stainless steel heating element
capacity 1.7 liters (50 ounces)
auto shut-off to prevent dry boils (great safety feature)
boils 1 liter of water in 2 to 4 minutes
2 year limited warranty
HINT: If you require a smaller version, the 17-Ounce Bodumn Bistro Mini Cordless Electric Kettle is perfect. This size fits into my Vegan Travel Kitchen for the Road without taking up much space. I can usually put items inside it so that it takes up little space in my bag.
Just got back from a trip to Honolulu for two weeks. Wanted to have espressos like at home, but didn't want to spend the "Starbucks" to get it. So we went to Macy's and bought a DeLonghi Pump Espresso Machine, two Bodum cups and had espressos for ourselves and visitors in our Waikiki Grandview Suite... check it out!
We left the machine and cups behind with friends and still saved money not buying coffee or making a "so so" cup in the room's regular coffee machine.
